1 Introduction

Meru County provides Meru App as a digital service to help residents access information, public services, and community updates. Meru App is published by Nexindi Tech. By using this application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the application.

2 Your Use of the App

You may use Meru App for lawful purposes only. You agree not to misuse the platform, submit false information, interfere with the app's operations, or attempt to access content or systems without authorisation. Prohibited activities include:

Using the app for any illegal or fraudulent purpose
Impersonating any person or misrepresenting your identity
Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the app or its systems
Interfering with the proper working of the app
Uploading or transmitting viruses or malicious code

3 Account Responsibility

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for the accuracy of the information you provide. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account. The County may suspend or restrict access where misuse or security concerns are identified.

You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account, whether or not you authorised such activities.

4 Content and Services

Meru App may provide public information, service updates, announcements, and links to Meru County programmes. Meru County may update, improve, or remove features at any time without prior notice. We do not guarantee that the app will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free.

All content provided through the app is for general information purposes only and does not constitute professional advice.

5 Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how personal information is collected, used, retained, and protected in accordance with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.

6 Limitation of Liability

The County shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from the use of the App except where such liability cannot be excluded by law. This includes, but is not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, punitive, and consequential damages.

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

7 Changes to These Terms

These Terms and Conditions may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the application after any update means you accept the revised terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or via the contact information provided.

8 Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kenya.
