How to request deletion
- Email mymeruapp@gmail.com with the subject “Meru App Account Deletion Request.”
- Include the phone number or email address registered to the account you want deleted.
- Do not include your password, PIN, or OTP in the email.
Email template Subject: Meru App Account Deletion Request Registered phone number or email: [enter your account identifier] Request: Please delete my Meru App account.
How we verify ownership
Before processing a request, Meru App sends a one-time password (OTP) to the registered phone number or email address provided in your request. We proceed only after the OTP is successfully verified. If you cannot access the registered contact method, contact us at mymeruapp@gmail.com so we can explain available verification options.
When deletion is completed
After ownership is verified, we will complete your account deletion within 30 days. We will send confirmation to the registered email address or phone number when the process is complete.
Data deleted
We delete your account profile, registered contact details, app preferences, uploaded content, and account-linked activity data that is no longer needed for the purposes described below.
Data retained
We may retain limited records that we are required to keep by law, or that are necessary to resolve disputes, prevent fraud, maintain security, or meet tax and accounting obligations. Retained data is restricted to those purposes and kept only for the required retention period.
